Known as an early adopter of technology, the State of Hawaii has expanded the use of facial recognition technology to law enforcement agencies across the state. Jae Lim, AFIS Technical Lead for the State of Hawaii, led the project to integrate facial recognition into the state’s crime solving arsenal. In this edition of Expert Insight, Jae discusses the successful outcome with MorphoTrak Senior Director of Innovation Scott Swann. As AFIS Technical Lead, Jae is responsible for supporting the state’s deployments and upgrades, managing disaster recovery, and ensuring business continuity. He is an IT Specialist and a member of Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center’s Technical Support section.
